Locked down in your home due to Coronavirus hassle? Whether it is her birthday or you want to make her feel special. Here is a list of three personalized and creative gifts that you can send her way while maintaining social distance.

Ladies! you can use them for your ā€˜him’ too with just a little alteration.

  1. Situated remotely? Digital Image Gallery is the way to go!
During these times when you can not travel to her, you can let your memories do the work for you.
You can design and host a website for her. Let’s say it's her birthday — you can create a web-based gallery of your images in some creative sequence and build a story around it.
Example — Place both of your photographs in chronological order and narrate your journey through it. One photo at a time, highlighting or sparkling text on hover, playing audio clips on hover (these clips can be about any particular thing that you guys talked about while that picture was clicked).
If you not a techie and cannot build a website on your own, there are websites like Wix, Squarespace, Strikingly to help you out and get you going in no time. Try to record page visits and you will be surprised by how often she visits that page.
PS — You won’t find a better time and motivation than this to learn web development if it was on your bucket list since 1866.
I have also tried a VR(Virtual Reality) based virtual tour for a friend. Both of us being tea-holic, I created a virtual tour(along with a story) of all the places that we visited and the tea we had recreating all the memories.
  2. Lyrical Video — another excellent way to make her cry ā¤ļø!
If you are tired of making collages and those conventional videos with photographs, here is a cool modified version of that idea.
Every couple has that one song which is ā€˜their’ song. Share the lyrical video of that song regularly for a few times with her. Meanwhile, prepare a video that looks exactly the same as that lyrical video for the first few seconds(say 5 seconds), and then the entire video is about her — let the interplay of your love and imagination fabricate the rest of the video. Let the audio track continue but instead of that regular video-frames, this video will have lyrics along with her pictures.
You can add your pictures together, quote her words that relate to the lyrics, quote your words that supplement the lyrics, and so on. I think you get the idea and your feelings will help you align the video with lyrics in creative ways.
Example — Ed Sheeran’s Perfect. You can align her ā€˜messed hair’ picture with ā€œyou said you looked a messā€ and then an AWWWWish picture with ā€œBaby! You look perfect tonightā€.
PS — If you don't have a ā€˜their’ song yet, don't worry you will get there soon. #coupleGoals šŸ˜‰.
  3. EMIs — A bit costly but very thoughtful
So we all know that relationships are all about growing together, right? And we often know that one thing about her (or him) which she always wanted to do but never got time or motivation or the perfect moment to do.
Here is the thing, start an EMI with them. Yesss! Let us say she always wanted to pursue photography but never bought a camera. As a gift, you tell them that you will send ā€˜X’ amount of money as cash or voucher every month to them and this money has to be ultimately used to buy a camera šŸ“·.
How does it help? First of all, zero efforts in making the gift. Also, when you send this EMI regularly, it will motivate her to pursue this and will create that pleasant and healthy pressure on her to think about it. Doing this regularly will make it enter her sub-conscious mind and voila — you helped her grow into her passion.

That's all I have for this article but my list does not end here. Do reach out for more suggestions slash details or help on any of the above.

Happy socially distanced gifting!
